Numu is an independent cultural platform dedicated to artistic development in Ecuador. We works with a diversified roster of Ecuadorian and international artists connected with the urban-inspired contemporary art universe, fostering the development of close relationships between creators, the public and the community, and contributing to the country's cultural legacy for years to come.

Each project is a challenge, and for the first time since 2017 we move to another province, which allows us to strengthen the bridge built between urban art and our great equatorial community. During a week in November, eight artists will get to know the city and its inhabitants to leave a piece of history, which will transform the landscape for the benefit of all, helping to promote art as a daily experience.

Pat Perry es un artista visual estadounidense que principalmente pinta, dibuja, fotografía e realiza instalaciones murales a gran escala; a lo largo de la década de 2010, trabajó en una serie de cuadernos de bocetos y fotografías que documentan años de viajes itinerantes por los Estados Unidos se convirtieron accidentalmente en algunas de las obras más conocidas de Perry.

Numu abre un espacio con capacidad para recibir a artistas que realicen trabajo de estudio en una Residencia de periodo uniformizado de (3) o (7) semanas.
La Residencias tiene como objetivos:

El apoyo y el soporte a la creación, exploración e investigación artística por artistas visuales / plásticos que dialogan con el espacio público / comunitario.

El fomento de conexiones y la creación de puentes entre artistas internacionales y la comunidad artística ecuatoriana.

Crear un espacio apto para la creación de obra de estudio y fomentar un contexto expositivo vinculado a la intervención pública / comunitaria en la sierra norte ecuatoriana.
